Plant Selection Process

Every planting plan begins with the site itself. I approach each landscape as a living system—observing light patterns throughout the day, soil conditions, drainage, existing structures, and the surrounding environment. Rather than applying a standard palette, I respond to what the space is asking for.

I hand-select plant varieties to meet specific site needs, whether that means creating shade tolerance in dappled light, establishing structure with evergreen screening, or building movement and texture in full sun conditions. Each choice is made to support both the visual composition and the long-term health of the landscape.

The result is a planting design that feels cohesive, site-specific, and enduring—one that reflects both the character of the environment and the people who inhabit it.
